New Film Shooting In April
We are still trying to get "Joy" out into the mainstream. We've had a few distribution offers, but we do not know what we are going to do with it. This little film has so much of South Western Ohio involved. Mostly Jungle Jim's. Oh, and there are some scenes from "Findlay Market."
And one of the best parts we put into the film is the local Cincy Indy Music. Some of the best local music is involved, "Wussy", "The Hiders", "Lovely Crash" and, perhaps one of the best ever is "Kim Taylor."
This little film turned out to be a gold mine after all of the editing was finished and I hope we can promote these awesome artists!
So, come on...it will ROCK!!!

My Car Is Close To 100,000 Miles
Just looking for the perfect song for that moment.
I think I've made my mind up it has to be "The Hiders-Can't Hurt Me Anymore." I believe that is my favorite song of all time. It was the first one I listened to on my new iPod.
I'm sure I've told the story before about how I searched and searched for that song after hearing it on woxy.com. And, it turns out "The Hiders" are from freakin' Cincy. I just happened to be sitting next to Beth, aka, "Delia P. Hider" at "The Comet" when I discovered this!
Holy shit! The second song will have to be from "Wussy"...perhaps "Shunt" or "Rigor Mortis" or "Yellow Cotton Dress" or "Skip."
It is so great to have such talent in this stupid little place!

So Long Asshat!
It will be a great day tomorrow, fuckin' W will be gone. I'll miss the idiot and I hope Obama doesn't turn out to be another one of those politicians. Barack, I hope you are sincere and not pulling our hats over our eyes.
One last laugh:
Yes, sir, you have been the biggest disgrace to our country. EVER!!!

Wussy - Rigor Mortis
I declare this to be the best song ever!!! Even better than Dandy Warhols - "Bohemian Like You."
Lisa, it would be so awesome if you came back to Cincinnati...I love you kids! Remember, Chicago is way windier and colder than here!

Does Anybody Remember "Chicken Transistor?"
I'll bet Candice does. Listening to my limited tunes on my new iPod and I am full of stupid memories.
We heard "Vow" by Garbage back in the day, and she said, "It sounds like that chick from Transistor." But I heard it as "Chicken Transistor."
Good times! Who would have thought that Shirley Manson would one day become an icon?
BTW, what ever happended to "Transistor?" That was a great album!!! I need to burn it if you have it??? Step up if you have that most excellent CD!!!

Is It Friday Yet?
I'm so stoked to see my buddies, Wussy, at Fountain Square Friday! I don't understand why they are the first band playing, but whatever.
And I really hope Lilly will be there to dance with me. I miss you little sweetie and we need to dance together on my "pogo sticks."

Hey, What's Happening?
I'm starting a new job Monday...I almost cried leaving Northside today. Oh, yeah, hopefully, I'll be living down there soon. Northside is where I belong. All the freaks say so!
Last night, I drank and danced too much to 80s night at the C&D (aka The Complete Dive). Too much fun hanging out with Candice, Beth C., Uncle Barry, Anita Beer and Leslie!
My brace has been removed and I am learning to walk on crutches. What a new experience, but it is so much easier than trying to carry myself on the stupid crutches (pogo sticks, as Lilly calls them). How in the hell does a two-year old even know what pogo sticks are? That little kid is amazing! I love you little sweetie.
Tomorrow night, "Lovely Crash" is playing at the Tavern. I will sooooooooooo be there!
Now, I need to get some rest so I can hang tomorrow!
Keep on rockin'!

Been A Long, Long Time!
I haven't written for so long...boo hoo me! Whatever.
I don't even know how to begin. I've been doing the majority of my time in Northside; the current darling of Indie Music in Cincy. I still don't have a "normal" job, just helping my buddy Leslie. I'm kind of making it in the ghetto world.
My goal for now is to not become so consumed by money and credit cards, but to try and sustain myself on whatever is available. Yeah, it's not easy, but I'm trying. Living on cash SUCKS!
I've lived through the high-income bullshit, but now I just want to survive. BTW, I'm kinda having the time of my life. I still have to figure out how to make the last $500 to officially get rid of my debt, but I think I have enough stashed away to get my driver's license and tags renewed. My birthday was three weeks ago and I am driving and riding illegally.
Seriously, I have learned so much about myself and realize this is what I have wanted all my life!!! Northside, for now, is like living in the hey days of Seattle, NYC, LA or San Fran. Cincy has so much to offer and I can't beleive the suburban kids will never venture down. Fuck, the music is soooooooo amazing. And, I'm not talking about the stupid cover bands that play the parties in the park, but the original music that is so awesome.
My personal favorites are, Wussy, The Hiders, Loveley Crash, Fairmount Girls, 7 Speed Vortex, Fists of Love, Pernicious Kniffs (Purple #7), The Sweep, Pearlene, Meadoe, Culture Queer, and the list can go on and on! There are a lot of awesome bands I haven't checked out yet, BUT FUCKIN' CINCY ROCKS!
I am having the time of my life; yet I'm very broke, but I'm rockin' in ROCK CITY!!!
Wish me luck being poverty stricken! I love my life and Lilly is awesome!!!

Haven't Written For A Few Days
So what's new? I went to Rob and Jane's Indie Rock Wedding at the Southgate House Sunday. It was pretty awesome. I saw a few bands I've never seen before and am still loving the Cincy Indie scene. I can't believe how many awesome bands are here!
The old favorite (from about 10 years ago) The Fairmount Girls. They still rock; even harder than ever. Beth...that was awesome, especially when Jane came out and played the old shit. "Nash" is definitly one of my top five or ten songs ever!

It's Soul Searching Time
I need to figure out what it is I am trying to accomplish. I'm pretty sure I belong in Northside and now, I have a possible roomate, but I need a real job. I'm not so sure I want a real job! It's time for me to move on. I've raised two kids, watched my mom die and now it's time for me to take care of myself. Not sure how to do that.
That's my job this weekend...think and fix my scoot. Oh yeah, and go through my mail and find out just how fucked I am.
It was an amazing week hanging out with Julie and getting bands for the soundtrack. I'm very excited about this...even if there is no money for now. Hopefully there will be in the future. Cincy indie music rocks and I am so stoked about this project. Can't wait for the next ones, Julie!

I've Got A New Favorite Band!
Yep, Lovely Crash...shit, Beth, I wish I would have met you before now. I would be so pushing you on the soundtrack, but it's probably too late. We'll be doing more films in the fall and I SO want to include you. You are fuckin' rockin' my world!!!
My biggest problem for now is keeping the "Beth's" straight! Both of you ROCK!

My Hiders Aren't Hiding Too Much Anymore!
http://citybeat.com/gyrobase/Content?oid=oid%3A144901
Fuck, I love this band and I sold the shit out of their merchandise tonight! I think they were quite happy with the sales. But, the dumbasses didn't play my favorite song...
I'll be posting some photos, and maybe, some video clips soon.
You guys rocked my world, once again!

Abort...Couldn't Upload My Shitty Sounding Video By Wussy
But, I at least found this video from another radio station!
Yeah, my vid sucks because the sound is sooooo bad!
I love you guys so much! It's been a hell of a couple months since going to Austin with you. Thank you Leslie! You kids, Chuck, Lisa, Dawn and Mark have helped me find myself...I will always be ingrated to you! Good luck on your next cd and hopefully, I can hang out sometime?
You fuckin' ROCK!
