Ramblings and rants about the amusing, stupid things that happen to me in and around Cincinnati.

I Survived!

Got through the web server change and the big date with Ron.

The sever change finally finished today. Thanks Andrew, you seem like a great guy to be working with. You took every note I had and fixed them. I'm so happy I found you at the critical moment. (Even though, looking at your .htaccess file, mine was identical except for one slash mark. I don't think it was such a big deal that you made it out to be.) I realize you have to sound important, but who was it that brought the whole 301/302 redirects to your attention? And, who sent you the kick-ass articles to back up my concerns? Yep, it was me! And I believe you thanked me for the info. Right?

NickW...can't believe you're turning over threadwatch after 14 months. Good luck with your new venture. You built a great, intimate community at threadwatch very quickly. I adore your sense of humour and ability to tell it like it is. If I recall, you were the first guy to publicly out Googleguy (even though, everybody in the world knew who he was [and is]). Kudos to you.

Aaron, I have confidence you can follow in Nick's footsteps. I tried to talk to you in Vegas, but you were almost as popular as Matt Cutts. I don't have much patience and I had a fucked-up foot. Good luck dude!

Finally, Ron, I had a great time last night. That chemistry we had the first time we met is still there. Only about 18 times better. I hope to see you soon.

Tomorrow Is A Scary, Scary Day

Pointed the name servers to the new place and can't find my email from home. It's going to be a mess tomorrow...running around and patching everything. I so don't wan't to deal with this. But, I have to.

My big date is tomorrow night with Ron. This is where we see where it's going and how. I am very nervous. I haven't seriously dated in a very long time. I'm scared to death kids.

On another note, I had to go to Walmart and decided to stop into the place where I met Ron. Talked to this couple and after an hour or so, it turns out they're related to him. They say he is the greatest guy on earth. Don't know, but I'm probably not worthy for the greatest guy on earth!

Guess we'll see in about 24 hours?

Wish me luck!

Once Again, Tomorrow Is Monday

I hate Mondays. The only good thing to look forward to tomorrow is when Indy spanks the Steelers and my Bengals are solely #1.

HooDay!

My computer hasn't booted the last couple of days. Had to tear it apart and re-seat everything. Obviously, I made it work again.

One more thing, the maxi-fridge is back in business. I forgot all about it until Thanksgiving, and either Paul, Nick or Jim reminded me of it. It's cold out now and this is how we got through last year when Mom died. We stuck cases of beer in the window well and didn't have to go upstairs to get another one.

LONG LIVE THE MAXI-FRIDGE! Smeriously.

Happy Thanksgiving!

Haven't posted in awhile. Been kinda busy.

Had kind of date with Ron last night and we still seem to have some chemistry happening. We're meeting again Tuesday to see what happens next.

Went to Doug and Dorothy's for dinner. The whole family was there and it was a great time as always. I have the greatest family in the whole wide world. I mean that! Even Dieago (sp?) the cute puppy was there.

Of course, I have to work tomorrow for the nazi, but I'm just not ready to go to bed yet. Could it be that I slept so late today?

One more thing before I sign off, last night at O'Chucks was one of the most fun nights ever. I wish Rox and Jen worked together more often. Too much fun!

Goodnight and kids, don't corrupt Tyler too much next week. I know all about the titty bar and who knows what else, but take care of the kid.

What's Up Kids?

I had a clever title on the way home...Completely lost the thought. Probably because I logged into my webmail and there is a message I've been waiting for since this morning? WTF Fuse?

Work sucks so bad. I'm moving the web server tomorrow. Am I that brave? It scares the crap out of me.

Dorothy, I'll respond to you in the morning. Not like you haven't been waiting for 12 or so hours. Trust me, I'll reply in the morning.

Ron, you're getting a call tomorrow.

I'm Home

Of course I'm broke. The Bengals lost, but so did the Steelers. Whatever.

I met a really nice guy tonight, Ron. Yeah, I'll be seeing you soon, I hope. I think there's a connection there. I would call you right now, but Nick has hidden my phone!

Too bad I have to work tomorrow. I so don't want to. SMERIOUSLY!

One last thing, I am so happy to be out of Vegas. I'm so sick of those $20 beers and the high pressure of spending $200 on face shit. Yup I'm a big ass sucker. But, I'm going to look 10 years younger in three months. RIGHT!

Leaving Las Vegas

Had enough and it's time to leave this place and the shitty computer interface and the TV screen.

Needed to check in one more time. I leave at 1"00 p.m. tomorrow and I'm all packed and ready to get the fuck outta here.

Was in the sports book tonight and it looks like Indy is favored by 5.5 points. Look out Colts, the mighty Bengals are about to kick your asses!

Yeah, baby.

And, Tyler, I'm not sluttin it up. Sorry to dissapoint you, but not happenin' this trip.

Time for sleep. See ya tomorrow when I have a real keyboard and monitor!

Not Even Going To Edit That Last Post

This is absolutely the worst user interface I've ever seen! Holy shit! I'll say it again...this sux. Actually, it said, "thi sux." But deal with it kid.

I'm in Vegas and can't buy a four of a kind to save my life (except the other day at the soon to close Westward Ho and their shitty machines. 2nd hand drew 4 kings, and quickly hit all 5 buttons. Ha Ha, two of them were sticky and I went too fast and ended up with 3 kings. I've jinxed myself.) Jeeebus, throw me another 4 of a kind, please?

Tomorrow, is the last day of Pub Conference. This is when we have the actual pub part of it. I need to separate my business cards tonight. They've been in the dresser drawer since I got here. I'm having a great time, picking up a few hints, and haven't even spent much time with the heavy-hitters yet. That will happen tomorrow (I hope).

Anyway, it is quite amusing to try and read this stuff on the dumn TV. Doesn't work too well. Hilton, wake up and make this easier!

Goodnight for now.

Thi Sux

In Las Vegas using the TV and some stupid tiny keyboard trying to read my emai.

It's not working so well. I have to use this tiny little stupid thing as my mouse and keys on the left as my mouse keys. Whatever! Just wanted to say hey. My conference starts tomorrow and I'm not even setting the alarm. How brave is that? I'm getting up whenever I feel like it! (The last two days I've been getting up at 7:00 am. HeHe. Imamgine that. I have to force my self to sleep a bit longer.

Tommorow? It may be a bit tough. I've been playing video poker and drinking Coronas since noon.

Ready for some sleep now. Goodnight.

Taste My Sad

FOX announced it is reducing Arrested Development's show order to 13 episodes. I think this is the end guys. Let's see if we ever get to see those last eight episodes. I'm not optimistic.

FOX, you've made a huge mistake.

Getting ready to head to Indy for my flight out tomorrow morning. Later.

Getting Ready (Kind Of) For Las Vegas

At least I'm doing the laundry.

Checked out Matt Cutts blog and he mentioned "Arrested Development." Yeah, I knew he had to be a fan.

Cool. Gotta finish my laundry. And, Matt, see you in Vegas!

My Arrested Development Was On Tonight

Two new episodes!

Have to say, the first ep. wasn't that funny (of course, I'll watch it again). But the second one was fucking hilarious. Quote: "She's an MRF. What's that? A mentally retarded female." Hehe...that's Charlize Theron they're talking about.

Oh, the godzilla scene at the end is to die for!

Good stuff.

I made a reservation finally in Indy for Friday night since I'm flying out of there Saturday morning to Vegas baby! Good deal. $80.00 gets you a night's room and a week of parking. Way better than that stupid Economy Lot. Don't get me started on that fiasco from a few years ago.

Goodnight. Oh, one more thing, I am still so loving the new Giant Drag CD. Check it out.

Yay Bengals!

I had no idea you could win that big! Great job guys.

On the other hand, it still seems as if I haven't jinxed the new Google results. And, why should I? I don't participate in any stupid crap. But it's still a scary time.

Life Is Good In Google-Land

So Jagger3 started and (I think) I can stop worrying now. Man it's been a tough three weeks trying to weather this stupid storm. I'm too old and streesed out for this shit.

On a brighter note, I hung out with Candice and had a wonderful time. I love you kids!

I'm Tired

Don't have a lot to say. Turned in my football picks tonight and this is a very tough week. I'm not feeling too confident.

I think I'm going to bed now. Hopefully, I'll get bunches of sleep and feel better tomorrow.

BTW, good to see you Jenny.

Bunch Of Losers

Holy crap. These ass-wipes on WebmasterWorld tracking the Jagger3 update are useless. According to Matt and Googleguy, it hasn't even started yet. All of their stupid speculation.

Why do I even follow this crap? Don't know. Guess because I'm scared to death of what is going to show up this weekend. But speculation over and over? Come on idiots, it hasn't even started yet.

Goodnight. Outta here without watching each and every data center. I kinda have a life and I have a job.

Just Checked The Fox Website

And Arrested Development does indeed start back Monday with an hour show. Hot damn! Don't miss this since Charlize Theron is still on there. Another inside joke is Scott Baio replaced Henry Winkler...remember Happy Days?

Otherwise, I'm just sitting here on my computer with my TV minimized in the top right area of the monitor and watching the 3rd part of the latest Google dance (dubbed Jagger3).

Brett from WebmasterWorld gets to name the updates when they start. It is called Jagger because Matt Cutts of Google has been called the "Mick Jagger of search." Plus the Rolling Stones are in Vegas while the WW Conference is happening in a week and a half.

These Google updates are damn stressful...Especially during a three-parter that is beginning the third week of this shit. You just never know if they're going to dump you all of the sudden. It's happened to me before and it hurts like hell. Especially during the holiday season.

I'm outta here for now.

Thanks Jack!

He fixed my glasses tonight after I sat on them this morning. That right nose thingy has been killing me all day.

I just turned on House accidentally instead of that female president show with Gina what's her name, and realized the theme song from House is one of my all time favorites. It is such a beautiful song. Now if I can just remember what it is. Nope, not Angel, what is it?

Ok, pulled my iPod out and it is Teardrop by Massive Attack. By the way, that dude from Office Space is on House. You know, the guy that gets hypnotised and doesn't give a shit about anything?

So, I think I'll watch House for now and then Nip!Tuck at 10:00.

One more thing, as far as I know Arrested Development starts up again Sunday. [Edited...should say Monday, Sunday was the past two years.] Hoo-Day!
